what do you feed them?

Betta fish will eat all sorts of food, but the best food for them is either food formulated for bettas, or worms.

many places like walmart sell freeze dried bloodworms, which my bettas love.

DO NOT OVERFEED YOUR BETTA.

many people think that overfeeding them will make them get bigger....

yeah, their stomaches will!

but most of the time they eat till they are full, then the leftover food will just sit and rot.

and smell!

What are betta fish?

All the Betta species are small fishes, but they vary considerably in size, ranging from under 2.5 cm (1 inch) total length in B. chanoides to 14 cm (5.5 inches)
Bettas are anabantoids, which means they can breathe atmospheric air thanks to a unique organ called the labyrinth. This accounts for their ability to thrive in low-oxygen water conditions that would kill most other fish, such as rice paddies, slow-moving streams, drainage ditches, and large puddles

and above all betta fish are pretty!
